Osteopetrosis is a rare disease characterized by brittle bones of increased density. Recently we experienced a case of osteopertrosis in a 4 year old child, who has had progressive pallor, growing abdmoinal mass, exophthalmos, and growth retardation. This is a clinical study of 98 cases of purpura who were admitted to our Pediatric Dep't of Presbyterian medical center from Jan. 1973 to Dec. 1977.
